For over 82 years we have been breeding and riding good horses.
Many of the early horses originated 130 years ago with our
extended family. Our ancestors not only gave us the Lakota mares
from the 1870s and the thoroughbred mares from the 1890s, but
also a heritage rich in old west history. AQHA pedigree records
trace our horses back to 1932 and Johnie the first ONO remount
stallion to sire ONO colts that would be registered with the
AQHA. AQHA performance records list a consistent show history
with ONO bred horses performing and earning titles every year
from 1959 to present day 2005. This year we had two fourth
generation family members ,Ty Cudmore and Matt Asay ; Glen and
Nora’s great grandsons, both competing in the 2005 National High
School Rodeo finals at Gillette, Wyoming. The performance
records of ONO horses reflect the truest definition of the
American Quarter Horse ,“ The Worlds Most Versatile Horse “,
because they aren’t specialized. ONO horses are all around
horses. They have proven their ability over many generations to
be competitive in multiple disciplines. Currently the ONO ranch
stands RB Scooter Array and Social Array two of the better line
bred Skipper W stallions that can be found in the country today.
These two stallions were chosen because they represent an old
family of horses with a rich heritage and a proven, versatile
performance record. A rich heritage with a proven and versatile
performance record sums up ONO ranch horses.
